In the beginning . . .
Inspiration for The Connected Woman® started on the day one woman expressed her wish for a women’s business organization focused on exchanging ideas and knowledge; discovering how one woman could contribute to enabling and empowering other women to move ahead in their careers and businesses; and engaging other women so that she could learn from them. This woman spoke about a vision of creating a community of connections to channel experience, expertise, influence and resources. From that vision, The Connected Woman® grew.
We started asking questions. We wanted to know what women wanted, what they expected and what they experienced at networking events. The more we asked, the more women called to talk with us. Women told us about their desire for speakers that inspire; surroundings that soothe or enervate; and interactions that are relevant. We heard from women looking for consistency, opportunity and mentorship. From these expectations The Connected Woman® took shape.
Women told us that having a business organization built on these principles would make a difference to their personal growth, their confidence, their businesses and careers.
We listened and designed The Connected Woman®, a community for women to exchange ideas and knowledge, experience and expertise; offer solutions and options; respect confidences; inspire women to grow; and enable women to achieve.
An organization that encompasses many industries, levels of experience and diverse backgrounds; it provides women in business an opportunity to engage in discussion with what could be considered their personal 'Advisory Panel' or 'Board of Directors'.
An organization whose members focus on developing business - not sales - and they know the difference.
