In the beginning . . .
Inspiration for The Connected Woman® Association started on the day one woman expressed her wish for a women’s business organization focused on exchanging ideas and knowledge; discovering how women could contribute to enabling and empowering other women to move ahead in their careers and businesses; and engaging other women so that she could learn from them.
This woman spoke about a vision of creating a community of connections to channel experience, expertise, influence and resources. From that vision, The Connected Woman® Association grew.
She started asking questions. She wanted to know what women wanted, what they expected and what they experienced at networking events. From these conversations The Connected Woman® Association took shape.
Women told her that having a business organization built on consistency, opportunity and mentorship would make a difference to their personal growth, their confidence, their businesses and careers.
She listened and designed The Connected Woman® Association, a community for women to exchange ideas and knowledge, experience and expertise; offer solutions and options; respect confidences; inspire women to grow; and encourage and equip themselves to achieve their goals.
The Connected Woman® Association (TCWA) focuses on creating an environment where women can be women first and what they do second. Business occurs via warm qualified referrals once strong relationships develop based on honesty, integrity and trust. An organization that encompasses many industries, levels of experience and diverse backgrounds.
The format of TCWA combines the power of the internet to interact virtually and in person. It is about community and relationships rather than traditional business networking.
We also understand the importance of "Coffee, Conversations & Connections" so small local communities are formed for monthly 'in person' meetings.
An organization for women who've moved from "it's all about me" to "it's all about us". In addition to what might be expected from an online community for personal and professional growth, TCWA has developed a dynamic networking model that allows women to go "Beyond the Business Card"® to build strong connections resulting in even stronger business alliances.
An organization whose members focus on developing business - not sales - and we know the difference.
