A single voice can make an impact – many voices can make change. This is an opportunity to share your story alongside other women in our community.
This book project has sprung from the belief that we all have a story to tell; there is someone who needs to hear it, and by working together, we can reach more people so that our stories can make a difference in someone’s life, career or business.
Wisdom and Insight become more valuable when shared. I hope this book when published, will be your go-to read for inspiration, powerful anecdotes and actionable advice. ~ Cathy

Why would I want to be an Author?
This is your opportunity to let people know who you are and share that moment, event or person that made a difference for you personally, professionally … or both! What better way than to share your journey in a bestselling book?!
In addition to having a book to sell or use as promotional material, there’s a significant benefit in being a published author – a book provides you with credibility and establishes you as an expert in your field. Some of our contributing authors will use their chapter in this book as a stepping stone to publishing their own individual book.
What would I write about?
Ever read a story or listened to someone talk about their life and you thought “Wow! Someone else has gone through what I’m going through!’ Your story may feel ordinary to you, but it might be extraordinary to someone else. Sharing your story can give someone amazing insight into taking action and experiencing something that they may never have thought possible.
“I never thought I would become a published author until I wrote in a collaborative book. Writing along side other authors connected together by a theme created a community and a camaraderie I hadn’t experienced before. Inherently, there is prestige and honour in writing your own book, but that accomplishment amplifies when writing collaboratively and I am forever grateful for the friendships, business connections & support that a collaborative book project has given me.”

- What challenge have you faced as a woman? A person of colour? Your ethnicity or even your age?
- How did you overcome that challenge?
- What inspires and motivates you to be yourself and do what you love?
- What motivates you to get up and start your day?
- What is the biggest lesson you learned ? Either from failure or success.
- How did you decide on your career path? What was the hardest part about getting started? How did you resolve it?
- Who helped you get to where you are today? ie: a person, organization or program that you’ve helped or that you’ve been helped by.
- What goal have you always had that you’ve now achieved?
- What was/is your biggest “AHA” that has made a difference in your life or your business?
What’s included?
When you are a Contributing Author in When Women Talk© it’s an all-in-one writing/publishing package. This is what’s included:
- Your own chapter (up to 2500 words) with photo and bio
- A private Authors’ When Women Talk© Facebook group for connecting and support
- Professional proof reading and editing
- Formatting; printing and production costs, including ISBN
- Design – cover and inside by our professional graphic designer
- Custom designed social media marketing graphics
- Two (2) books for your personal use*
- Online AND In-person launch and more!
*Additional copies of our book will be available to you to pre-order at wholesale plus applicable taxes and shipping – approximately 50% of the retail price. Minimum order of 10
BONUS 1: Your Name on the cover
Many anthology books only showcase the publisher. As a contributing author, your name will be listed on the front cover with the other contributing authors. (in alpha order) so that if you have an author’s page online, you can list this book in your library.
BONUS 2: One Year Membership in the Connected Woman Community
A one year membership (12 months) in the Connected Woman Association is included with your author package. To be a Connected Woman member is to be a part of a dynamic group of women whose careers and interests are as diverse as the women themselves. BONUS 3: Personal Interviews
For those that want to, I will be conducting online interviews with our published authors once the final drafts are in. All episodes will be recorded, professionally edited and posted under When Women Talk© and/or The Connected Woman© banner for public access. This is an incredible opportunity to expand your influence and create a broader reach for your message.

You can do this! You don’t have to have a ‘save the world’ story – we’re looking for women from all walks of life so that our readers can relate and engage with us. The intention is to be genuine, to be you.
Didn’t get honours in spelling or grammar? You’re covered! Each author’s story will be proofed by our professional editor.
When will the book be published?
Our timeline for this book to launch is Spring 2025. (late February) To create a quality offering, it takes time for you to create and write your story and for me to take care of the editing, proofing, designing and publishing.
How will the book be distributed?
This is where collaboration becomes our ‘secret sauce’ because we work together to potentially achieve a best selling book status. You will be given templates for pre-launch, a social media campaign, online launch day strategy, press releases and more. All you have to do is copy, paste and post!
Is there a Launch Party?
Absolutely! As a Contributing Author, you will be the guest of honour at our book launch (*date TBD) where you’ll be autographing books and having photos taken with the other authors!
